Residential Inukshuk 2
Inspired by the work of Wee Gates (www.weegates.com), this client engaged Visionscapes to create a 7’6” high Inukshuk. At the same time Virginia met Canadian painter Ken Kirkby who paints Inukshuk. The painting shown inspired the stone sculpture. The client’s lovely ten acre property provided the ideal location for the scale of this piece. Virginia collaborated with Walt Rickli, stone sculptor, to construct and assemble the Inukshuk. The arm stone alone weighs approximately 1 ton. Overall, the sculpture weighs 4.5 tons and is pinned with stainless
steel rods for stability. |
